FAQs

Questions we hear most.

How long does installation take?

Most residential garage floors are completed in one to two days. Larger floors, commercial spaces and jobs that need repairs can take longer. You'll get a timeline with your written estimate.

How long before I can use the floor?

Some systems may allow light foot traffic after approximately 24 hours and vehicle traffic after 48–72 hours, depending on the product and conditions. We give you exact cure guidance for your floor during the final walkthrough.

What prep is needed?

We handle the surface preparation. Before install day, customers are responsible for removing all vehicles, personal belongings and stored items from the area. Under Rated Epoxy does not move or store belongings. If you have questions about what needs to be cleared, we'll go over it when we confirm your appointment.

Can damaged concrete be coated?

Often, yes. Cracks, chips and worn areas can usually be repaired before coating. Moisture problems and major damage need an on-site look so we can recommend the right approach.

Which finish is right for me?

Full Flake is the most popular choice for garages because it's durable and hides dust and wear. Metallic gives a custom, high-end look for showrooms and living spaces. Solid Color is clean and bright for workshops and commercial floors. Grind & Seal is a cost-effective option that keeps the natural concrete look. We'll help you choose during your estimate.
